This ship's safety systems are a total mess. I told those idiots...In the event of total failure of the reactant coolant systems, you leech the contaminant from the deck by a controlled rapid decompression. You can do this by opening the shuttle bay doory. There's a control system in command control that controls the shuttle door protocols. You can override these protocols with an systems override chip 45M/dEX. The chip's stored in auxilary storage 5 in the coolant tubes, keycode: 34760.\n"

In the event of total failure of the reactant coolant systems, radiation may also be leeched from the deck by a controlled rapid decompression. After evacuating all hands from the deck, proceed to shuttle control room. Set the interior bay door to the open and locked position. Then activate the shuttle bay door. This will immediately, repeat, immediately decompress the entire deck. The control room will remain sealed to protect the operator.\n"

I almost died this morning. One of the infected crewmen found my hiding place. At the last second, a electrical surge from a maintenance panel killed my assailant. MaloneÆs dead. I was just talking to him and this Raptor bot came up behind him and...What am I going to tell Jenna? But IÆve got to get a grip. IÆve locked myself in Cargo Bay 2 and re-coded the door lock in engineering control to 1506. I think IÆll be safe in here.\n\

They arenÆt making this easy for us, are they? I miss you. I know itÆs stupid, but I do. I think IÆll wallow in self pity for an hour or so and then write you again. Why couldnÆt we have met back on Earth. Once your transferred to the Von Braun , everything will be better. IÆll be better, I promise. Great, someoneÆs coming. Counting the seconds...\n\

The control room will remain sealed to protect the operator.

They hit us six hours ago. Malone, the OSA spook, tried to take one of things out with a psi attack, but it didnÆt even break stride. Then it unloaded both barrels into his stomach. Falzone said thereÆs a weapons cache in one of the engine nacelles. Maybe I can find him and the others there...\n\

I donÆt know where weÆd be without Delacroix. This whole ship is falling apart and sheÆs the only one who knows what from what. I saw her arguing with that creep Anatoly Koretzkin or whatever his name is, and she was giving it to him but good. But that freako stares he straight in the eye and starts babbling about how she doesnÆt know the pleasure of the joyful unity or somesuch. Mama mia, the clowns are running the circus...\n\

Constance, I fear now for my life. I think this has gone beyond any imaginings of Forrest and Korenchkin. I do not believe they are in control at all. Whatever is behind all of this is now after me. I sense this.\n\

I almost died this morning. One of the infected crewmen found my hiding place. At the last second, a electrical surge from a maintenance panel killed my assailant. The surge was caused by some kind of artificial intelligence. It wants to help me reclaim control of the Von Braun from whomever...or whatever is now in charge. It led me a custom boosted psi amp and supplied a proto interface for me to use it to defend myself. I performed a database access canÆt find any reference of it in the shipÆs AI register. I donÆt know where it came from, but I must confess IÆm happy it is here.\n\

Stay where you are, Bec. I mean it. This isn't something you can fight, this isn't something you can run from. If you love me, you won't come looking for me. Just hang tight. I won't let you down.\n\

[we hear some old blues playing in the background] ItÆs down to just a few of us now. Right after Valdez died, I guess I went a little nuts and started tearing things apart...and what do you know, I found two more Rad Hypes. Hopefully that will keep me going long enough to figure a way past that damn turret...[we hear a once grunt sound]...Who is that? Delacroix? Fontaine?\n\
